We offer motorcycle training that is tailored for your individual needs in Weston Super-Mare. We can provide CBT courses using brand new 50cc or 125 cc bikes in addition to training for a full license. All of our on-road motorcycle lessons operate on a guaranteed 2 students to 1 instructor basis for tuitions.
Your safety is always the priority concern for our instructors and we can assure you that their professionalism will strive to make sure that you are successful in obtaining your CBT or license.
Everything is included in the price, such as:
- Armoured motorcycle jackets
- Gloves and lightweight waterproofs (if required)
- Hi-vis waistcoats.
- No hidden extras.

UK Motorcycle Licence Types:
Compulsory Basic Training
Most learner motorcycle & moped riders must take compulsory basic training (CBT) before riding on the road.
- At 16 years of age you can ride up to 50cc with CBT. (AM Licence)
- At 17 years of age you can ride up to 125cc with CBT. (A1 Licence)
You will then have to pass your full motorcycle test within 2 years or you’ll have to take your CBT again.
You don’t need to pass CBT to ride a 50 cc moped if you passed your car driving test before 1st February 2001.
Your CBT involves:
- introduction and an eyesight check
- practical on-site training
- practical on-site riding
- practical on-road training
- practical on-road riding
When you complete compulsory basic training (CBT) to at least the minimum standard, you’ll get a certificate of completion. – also called a DL196.Your certificate of completion lets you ride a moped or a motorbike (depending on your age) up to 125cc on the road with L plates for 2 years.
At a minimum of 19 years old, an A2 licence permits you to ride a medium powered motorcycle up to 35kw or 47bhp
There are 2 routes to an A2 licence, Direct Access, which involves a mixture of theory and practical learning and tests, or Staged Access which consists of 2 years experience on an A1 rated bike before taking a practical test.
The A Licence permits you to ride any motorcycle of unlimited power. If you are aged 21 or over and have held an A2 Licence for a minimum of 2 years, then the Staged Access route allows you to take a practical test to gain this licence. Otherwise, if you are aged 24 or over and have limited or zero previous motorcycling experience the Direct Access route will provide all the training and tests necessary to obtain an A Licence, starting at CBT level and building from there.

Mod 1 Course:
2 days including test: (including test fees, bike hire, safety equipment as required, fuel and insurance): £300
Mod 1 retest:
1 day including test fee £175
Mod 2 retest:
1 day including test fee £225. Extra days training for either course are £150 fully inclusive
Mod 2 Course:
2 days including test. (including test fees, bike hire, safety equipment as required, fuel and insurance): £375
